HMP TI held a technoprenuer workshop with the theme “Startup? Start Now!”

Student Association of the Informatics Engineering Study Program at the Faculty of Engineering, PGRI Yogyakarta University, held a Technoprenuer Talk event regarding startups which will be intended especially for UPY students. Activities that carry the startup theme? Start now! #1000startupdigital was held on Wednesday (6/19) at the Auditorium of PGRI University Yogyakarta.

The activity was attended by Fairuzabadi, M.Kom as Deputy Rector 3 of Student Affairs and Alumni of Yogyakarta PGRI University, Meilay Nonsi Tetaha M, T as the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, and Prahenusa Wahyu Ciptadi, M.T as Chair of the Information Engineering Study Program. And also attended by teaching lecturers at the UPY Faculty of Engineering, as well as invited guests, as well as the Technoprenuer Talk participants with 123 participants. The event was opened by Vice Chancellor 3 UPY for Student Affairs and Alumni, Fairuzabadi, M.Kom.

Ahmad Amirudin as manager at Dloo Yogyakarta and Mahar Indra as the CEO of the Portfolio became the main speaker in this Tecnopreneur Talk event and as the moderator was Muhammad Iksan as Chairman of the Informatics Engineering HMP. In recent years many young people have tried to start their own business, such as entrepreneurs, etc. But sometimes all are not realized because they are confused about where to start. The event aims to introduce and motivate IT students about the scope of startups in Yogyakarta, especially in the southern region. Startup or digital business itself apparently still looks foreign in some students and participants, some only know Gojek is an example of startup.

At the end of the event, Dilo Jogja gave a game with prizes to lure the emergence of student ideas in solving problems that occur around them by creating a startup. Examples of interesting ideas from UPY students are startup lots for irrigation of rice fields, then there is a startup of goods care services, then there is a startup for searching services and comparison of boarding-lodging prices. The activity was carried out in the form of a workshop that was expected so that IT students, especially UPY Informatics Engineering students, increasingly understand about startups and foster new business ideas to dare to start realizing their ideas coupled with utilizing technological advances at this time.
