PGSD University of PGRI Yogyakarta held a dance and drama performance that aims to fulfill the final assignment of dance and drama courses. The event was the first performance organized by PGSD University of PGRI Yogyakarta. The event which is for the public is held at the Yogyakarta Cultural Taman Concert Hall (TBY). This activity is carried out for 3 days, each group consisting of 3 classes each around & plusmn; 100 people per group.
The first day of the activity was held on Saturday (7/23) as well as opening a performance with the performance of group B (PGSD class 2020 class A1, A3, A9) which brought the theme “Estungkara” .
The second day of the activity was held on Sunday (24/7) with the appearance of group A (PGSD class 2020 class A2, A4, A8) with the theme “Culture”.
Meanwhile on the third day as well as the closure of the Sentama PGSD UPY activity series was held on Monday (7/25) with the appearance of group C (PGSD class 2020 class A5, A6, A7) who brought the theme “Purba Pahlawan Batik”.
in the performance was also attended by Dr. Esti Setiawati, M.Pd as Dean of PGSD, Beny Dwi Lukito Aji, M.Pd as PGSD Head of Study Program, Putri Rachmawati, S.Pd, M.Sn as a lecturer in dance and drama, as well as several students and the general public.
Princess Rachmawati, S.Pd, M.Sn as the supervisor of the dance and drama performances from the beginning feels nervous, but the princess feels very proud of her students because it successfully displays the work remarkable. In addition, he also said that the purpose of holding the performance was to demand students to be creative, innovate, issue the potential that exists within themselves, and preserve culture in the era of globalization by emphasizing character education.
