Signing of the MoU between UPY and Nisu Philippines

The collaboration of two countries namely Indonesia and the Philippines, between Yogyakarta PGRI University (UPY) and Northern Iloilo State University (Nisu) officially continued on Monday, July 17, 2023 ago. With the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) directly by Nisu President Bobby D. Gerardo, D. Eng and Rector Upy Dr. Ir. Paiman, M.P, and witnessed by campus official Dr. Victor Novianto, M. Hum (Head of the Office of Cooperation and International Affairs), Pebri Prihatmoko, S.Pd., M. Eng (Electromedical Study Program) and Nugraeni Putri Windarti (Staff of the Office of Cooperation and International Affairs) from UPY, as for Nisu attended Jomartin C. Limson, DPA (VP-Academic Affairs), and MA. Xerxa ​​Doan P. Billones -Franco Ed.D (Director – Cico, Nisu).

The MoU is the foundation for the two higher education institutions to work together in various important fields. Through this MoU, Upty and Nisu will strengthen collaborative relations in creating synergy between the two educational institutions. This collaboration will include various aspects, such as exchange of knowledge and experience, joint research, student and lecturer exchange programs.

dr. Ir Paiman, M.P said that in the future UPY and Nisu could work together and hope to invite Nisu to visit UPY. Previously one of the lecturers, Dr. Fernan P. Tupas from Nisu has joined the international seminar event, namely Upincase (International Conference on Applied Science), as one of the speakers to be held by UPY in August 2023.

The collaboration between the two universities hopes to provide benefits and improve the quality of education and develop human resources in their respective regions. This MoU can be a forum for broadening academic insight and perspective for students and lecturers from both parties. Not only that, this MoU also has the potential to open up new opportunities for research and scientific collaboration between the two institutions, which can contribute to solving local and global problems, and produce innovations that have a positive impact on the community.

With the signing of the MoU between Yogyakarta PGRI University and Northern Iloilo State University accelerating the realization of exponential changes, especially in strengthening bilateral cooperation between countries and creating a more inclusive and competitive educational climate in the Southeast Asian and Pacific region.
