PGRI University Yogyakarta (UPY), in 2030 is determined to become a superior tertiary institution by producing graduates who are devoted, competitive, professional, have a national commitment, and global insight. So to realize that, since the last few years UPY has begun to clean up.
Rector of Yogyakarta PGRI University, Dr. Ir Paiman MP, said that when he graduated 240 undergraduate and graduate at the UPY Campus Auditorium, Jalan PGRI 1 Sonosewu, Yogyakarta, Saturday (6/30). S1 graduates there are three people (1.42 percent) won the title of graduation, 15 people (7.11 percent) won satisfactory predicate, 133 people (63.03 percent) won a very satisfying title, and 60 people (28.44 percent) Achieve the title with praise or cumlaude.
While Postgraduate Graduates (S2) There are four people (13.79 percent) achieved the title of satisfactory, and 19 people (65.52 percent) won the title very satisfying and six people (20.69 percent) won the title with praise or cumlaude . & nbsp;
Furthermore, UPY Rector, Paiman said, the stages of achieving the vision, mission, goals and targets of UPY in 2018-2022 entered the third stage. Namely building an image to realize UPY’s superiority at the ASEAN level.
To realize this advantage, the Chancellor encourages the improvement of the academic and institutional performance, the HR field, and the fields of student affairs, alumni and cooperation. “We do this so that UPY can run faster to pursue the targets that have been set,” he said.
To be able to realize this target, all academicians are committed to UPY ready to grow 10x larger. ‘We have to run faster exponentially, it’s not enough just to run linearly. We have to work together to close ranks to build joint strength, ‘he said.
‘We always think positive and exponential that all of that can be realized. We are sure and always look for solutions to what to do and quickly act to achieve the target. Moreover, what we have aspired to get a positive response from the Yogyakarta PGRI University Pembina Foundation (YP-UPY), ‘he added.
To accelerate this desire, to expand access to education in the UPY community in 2018/2019 has opened a new study program for the S1 program. Namely Extraordinary Education (PLB) and Early Childhood Education (PAUD).
‘Now we ask for his prayers, hopefully the new Industrial Engineering Study Program will soon get an operational permit from the Ministry of Research and Technology this year,’ he said.
‘This year, we are also trying to submit the opening of three new health science study programs. Namely Study Program, Pharmacy, Health Analyst and Nutrition Science, ‘added the Chancellor.
