UKM Pencak Silat made another achievement by winning 3 gold medals and 1 silver medal along with the best fighter award at the 2023 Lombok Kemenpora Cup National Championship 1 Year 2023 which was held on Saturday 23 to Sunday 24 December, at GOR 17 December, Mataram City, West Nusa Tenggara . UKM Pencak Silat itself sent 2 athletes, namely, Andreyan Lintang Saputra, Guidance and Counseling Study Program, who won 2 gold medals and won the award for Best Fighter, and Rizky Febrian, Management Study Program, who won 1 gold medal and 1 silver medal.
“We dedicate this victory to our younger siblings so that they will be more motivated and enthusiastic in training so that in the future they will be able to achieve even better achievements.” Said Lintang and Rizky.
This achievement was also highlighted directly by the Chancellor of PGRI Yogyakarta University, Dr. Ir. Paiman, M.P. “I would like to thank you very much for this proud achievement and I really appreciate your struggle to make UPY’s name proud on the national stage, I hope UKM Pencak Silat can maintain its achievements so that it will always make the name of our beloved UPY proud,” said Dr Paiman.
