Yogyakarta PGRI University (UPY) and Iloilo Science and Technology University (Isat-U, Philippines) in collaboration with Seameo Qiteo in Mathematics, The Association of Science and Mathematics Coaches (Asmac) Philippines and the Association of Experts and Lecturers and Lecturers of the Republic of Indonesia (ADRI) held an International Conference & LSQUO; 1st UPY International Conference on Applied Science and Education > Up-incase) and 5 International Conference on Education for Sustainable Development 2018 & RSQUO; with the theme & ldquo; integrated stem (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) for future education & rdquo;. The international conference was held on October 24-26, 2018 at the Rich Jogja Hotel, Yogyakarta. The International Conference and Call For Papers aims to accommodate the results of the thoughts of lecturers, researchers, students and practitioners to improve the habits and power of national competition in the global era through future education with STEM -based ( Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics ).
at this international conference, involving speakers from 5 (five) countries, namely from Philippines, Australia, Taiwan, Malaysia and Indonesia. The names of the speakers are as follows.
- Jasper Pastrano from Iloilo Science and Technology University (ISAT-U), Philippines, and as President Asmac Philippines.
- Allan Leslie White from Western Sydney University, Australia
- Cathy S Lin from the National University of Kaohsiung (NUK), Taiwan
- Datuk Moh. Noah Dalimin from Universiti Tun Hussein On (UTHM), Malaysia
- Prapto Yudono, M.Sc from Gadjah Mada University, Yogyakarta, Indonesia
- dr. Buchory MS, M.Pd from Yogyakarta PGRI University, Yogyakarta, Indonesia
Chair of the International Conference Committee, Marti Widya Sari, S.T., M.Eng, explained that this activity was attended by more than 150 speakers from Philippines, India and Indonesia, and was faced by Vice President Isat-U, Dr. Manuel Sanchez, Jr., President Northern Iloilo Polytechnic State College (NIPSC) Philippines, Dr. Palmares, Director of Seameo Qiteo in Mathematics, Dr. Wahyudi, a representative from Adri, the board of management of the UPY Pembina Foundation and Deputy Rector I, II and III UPY. The series of international conference activities began on October 24, 2018, with the opening remarks from UPY Deputy Rector I, Ahmad Riyadi, M.Kom, and continued by the Head of LLDIKTI, Dr. Ir. Bambang Supriyadi, Ces, Dea, as well as opening an international conference. & Nbsp; On the first day, the material was delivered by 3 (three) keynote speakers, namely Prof. Jasper L Pastrano (Isat-U), Prof. Cathy S Lin (Nuk) and Prof. Prapto Yudono (UGM), and continued with a parallel session. Furthermore, on the second day, the material was delivered by 3 (three) keynote speakers, namely Prof. Allan Leslie White (WSU), Prof. Datuk Moh Nuh Dalimin (UTHM) and Prof. Buchory MS (UPY), as well as the signing of the MoU between ISAT-U, NIPSC and UPY and 23 universities in Indonesia. UPY Rector, Dr. Ir. Paiman, MP, really hopes for the realization of the signing of this MoU. Then the last session was the Workshop for International Publication and Coaching Clinic, with resource person Dr. Tutut Herawan.
Followed by the Gala Dinner Night event which took place at the Auditorium of the University of PGRI Yogyakarta. The third day’s agenda (October 26, 2018) is a visit to the school, by participants from Asmac Philippines. The destination schools visited are SMPN 4 Depok Sleman and SMAN 3 Yogyakarta.
